JourneyLite is a nationwide group of doctors and surgical centers that specialize in Lap-Band surgery for the morbidly obese or anyone with a BMI above 35. They came to STANANDLOU for a complete repositioning as they were not getting the results they needed from the work generated from their former ad agency.

Background

JourneyLite is a fast growing network of specialized outpatient surgical facilities providing the safest and least invasive surgical treatment for obesity today – Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric Banding, also known as the LAP-BAND® System.

Marketing Challenge

Although successful upon opening its first center in 2006, JourneyLite did not feel that the branding elements of their initial campaign properly supported the professionalism and quality of their programs.

STANANDLOU was hired to re-brand JourneyLite via a national multi-media campaign and to redeploy their media budgets more effectively.

Solution

After initial research and discussions with senior doctors and management, we simplified their positioning message to better reflect the major health benefits and positive lifestyle changes that result from their services:

Simply stated, it is “JourneyLite. For life.”

The campaign focused on a series of print ads, outdoor, radio and web-based initiatives with messages that were relevant, inspiring and spoke directly to the target. Real-life JourneyLite patients were used in the ads.

Results

One month after STANANDLOU launched the campaign, JourneyLite saw a 58% increase in website traffic, referrals, and seminar registrations. This upward trend continued, and two months after the launch, JourneyLite had a record-breaking week with seminar registrations up 30% from the previous record.

To quote from one of the ads and our very happy client, JourneyLite now has a branding campaign that simply but effectively ¬provides “Results you can live with.”
