STANANDLOU, Keating Magee Advertising ink merger deal

Houston Business Journal Store

Friday, July 14, 2006, STANDANDLOU Advertising and Keating Magee Advertising have agreed to merge in deal that will form an advertising agency with nearly 50 employees and offices in three markets.

New Orleans-based Keating Magee opened a Houston office after Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast last summer.

Although the two firms will continue to operate under their own names, the firms say the merger provides the opportunity for a stronger regional brand position with a new name in the future.

The combined company will have offices in Houston; New Orleans; and Greenville, Miss.

Houston-based STANANDLOU was founded in 1988. Keating Magee was founded in 1981 by Jennifer K. Magee.
